When I was a kid I couldn't decide if I wanted to be a Power Ranger or Batman (I have the pictures to prove it). I knew I had to choose, so I went with Power Ranger. One fateful day, my parents took me to a local event where I would get to... wait for it... meet the White Ranger himself! I was more excited than I'd ever been. When the day finally came, I waited anxiously in a crowd of fellow aspiring rangers as our anthem, "Go Go Power Rangers" came on. In the most epic voice I'd ever heard, the announcer boomed, "Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, put your hands together for the leader of the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, the White Ranger!" But then what should have been the happiest moment of my life took a devastating turn. You could practically read the words "What is this bull$#!&" in my 7-year-old eyes as some skinny guy with poke-dot boxers showing through his suit did what I could only assume was supposed to be a flip. That was the day I realized that Power Rangers weren't real. Thankfully, when my parents explained to me how TV shows and movies were made, I realized that sounded like a pretty cool job too. I've been doing it ever since.
